What is Shape Tweening Animation?

Shape Tween is a change in shape from one object to another. For Shape Tween the animated object must be of type Shape, for the resulting file size Shape Tween is larger than the motion Tween. Shape tweening is commonly used to create shape changing animations. For example, in the initial frame there is a star object, then in the final frame there is a crescent object. By using shape tweening, the program will animate and define the transition from star to crescent shape change automatically.

Note that shape tweening can only be applied to animating shape objects. So don’t do Shape tween for groups, symbols, or text. For good results, one shape is usually used. If you use multiple shapes, they must all be on the same layer. This will make it easier to make changes. Shape tweening also allows changing colors.
