Definition of Masking

Mask is a facility in flash that is able to make the image object displayed according to the shape object that we want. In addition to motion tween, mask is a technique that must be mastered. Because in its development later we will be able to create interesting animations from variations of masks. Masking is an animation that hides or covers an object with another object, so that the covering object looks transparent and blends with the covered object.

Mask means that the cover has a function as the name implies, which is to cover a layer. Masks can be applied to a layer and a layer that has been masked can serve to cover the layer below it. The working principle of Mask Animation is to show closed fields and hide open fields. Masking function in Animation : same as mask function in real sense; used to cover the parts of the object that you want to cover and the great thing that covers it will not be seen as well.

Layer is a place to put the image / image that we have created and then processed the timing. While the masking layer is a place to put the image that will be processed using masking, here the masking layer is contained in the worksheet layer that we usually use to create animations. Make a layer masking way, double click the object that we will give the mask.

How Masking Works

The working principle of masking is to show closed fields and hide open fields. Basically, making animation occurs due to the accumulation of two objects made in different layers, the main layer is covered by an object layer with the help of masking, so that the main object only looks the size of the masking object or object. Or in other words, visible objects are objects that are overlapping each other while other objects are hidden.
