How to Change the Year of Automatic Blog Footer Copyright

PREVIOUSLY CB has shared about How to Change Blogger Copyright Year Automatically the first version, which includes two types of years: the year the blog was created and the year in progress in the footer, such as Copyright (c) 2012-2014 Blog Name. All rights reserved.

This time, CB shares again about the change in the second version of the copyright year, which only includes the current year, like Copyright (c) 2014 Blog Name. All rights reserved.

It’s December 2014. For sure, God willing, next month is January 2015. It’s a new year. So, the year of copyright in the footer of your blog must also be changed later, from 2014 to 2015.

Now, with a code, we don’t have to bother editing the HTML template to change it every year. This code will automatically display the current year, without having to edit the template.

How to Change Blog Footer Copyright Year Automatically

If the copyright code in the footer of your blog is like the code below, of course you don’t have to change it again.

If the code is normal, for example like this:

  • Copyright 2014 Blog Name. All Rights Reserved
  • Copyright 2014 . All Rights Reserved

So, change it with the following code:

Copyright © . All rights reserved.

How to change it:
1. Templates > Edit HTML
2. Find (Ctrl+F) the “Copyright” code (usually at the bottom)
3. Make sure the code is like the code above. If not, replace (replace) with the code above.
4. Save Templates!

That way, the copyright year in our footer will change automatically every year.

The result will be like this:
Copyright © 2014 Sample Blog. All Rights Reserved.

Next year it will be like this:

Copyright © 2015 Sample Blog. All Rights Reserved.

Good Luck!
